where it BEGAN
I got my first taste of ‘corporate creativity’ in Grade 10 Business Principals class. I had to write an ad for cheese. It was a mouse with a helmet on.
Soon after, I attended Queensland University of Technology and graduated with a Bachelor of Business and a Graduate Certificate in Advertising. Then, as all baby creatives in Australia do, I went to AWARD School. Twice.
where it’s taken me
To all corners of Australia. And a few overseas.
Over that decade-and-a-half, I’ve gone from junior to mid-weight to senior to ACD to Head of Copy. Lately, I’ve even been doing a little creative consulting on the side.
The likes of Ogilvy, Publicis, VMLY&R, Clemenger BBDO, as well as a bunch of cool independents, have hired me. And thankfully, nobody has fired me.
I’ve worked with some incredible brands in my time. They’re listed below. Alphabetically, for convenience.
AirAsia, American Express, BCF, Brumby's, Cadbury, Caltex, Cancer Council, Captain Morgan, Carlton Dry, Coca-Cola, Commonwealth Games, Dare, Disney, Dove, Golden Casket, Guinness, HBF, iiNet, Instant Scratch-Its, Isuzu, Krispy Kreme, Lynx, Mazda, NAB, Nando’s, Nissan, Optus, Pizza Hut, Playboy, Queensland Health, Red Rooster, Schneiders, Smirnoff, Spam, Suncorp, Tim Horton’s, Tourism Queensland, Toyota, UQ, Vinnies, Wotif.
what i’ve collected along the way
Whilst I don’t have the wardrobe to frequent award shows in person, the recognition has certainly been nice.
